Our Story

Grow Humanity & Kindness

In 2010, a small group of university students, who shared the dream to contribute selflessly and positively towards their society, joined hands to materialize their dream into a beautiful reality. As-Siraat was the brainchild of these young and enthusiastic students. The pioneers of this organization were firm believers in the importance of education, empowerment through entrepreneurship and social service.

Education is the most important tool to dispel darkness and eradicate poverty. The journey of the founders of As-Siraat started by putting in efforts to promote education by conducting Quran classes at University, delivering beneficial talks at orphanages and hospitals, and providing free home tuitions to underprivileged children. These were the first steps on the road which eventually led to the establishment of As-Siraat Public School.

As-Siraat started with limited resources but a sky-high passion to bring smiles on tired and forsaken faces. The trust took up several projects in the initial years such as visiting Edhi Homes, orphanages, children wards’ in hospitals to distribute gift packs and items of basic necessities. Medicines and equipment were donated to hospitals that were facing a scarcity of resources. Monetary support was also extended to several widows. As-Siraat’s Ramadan Charity Program was initiated in 2010. The tradition continues each year in the revered month of Ramadan, the season of extraordinary goodness and generosity. Ration bags and clothes are distributed to an increasing number of needy families each year. Iftar arrangements are also made for deserving people.

In 2014, As-Siraat dispatched a large consignment of essential medicines to internally displaced people in KPK. In 2015, the organization took up the task of renovating a dilapidated Masjid in Ahmedpur East, Punjab. Over the years, as the team has grown, As-Siraat has successfully initiated several large- scale long-term and challenging projects, which reflect their pioneers’ goals and aspirations.

These ongoing projects include: As-Siraat Public High School, As-Siraat Dar Al Shifa Hospital, Ramadan Charity Program, Sewing Machine Project, etc. Team As-Siraat continues to aspire higher to touch the hearts of more people, ease their sufferings and add some beautiful colours to their lives.
