Project Detail

Driven by an urge to contribute positively and selflessly to society, Team As-Siraat is always prepared to assist the community as and where needed. The team members remain vigilant in identifying and addressing the problems of the local community. As-Siraat Trust is also at the forefront of providing physical and financial relief at times of natural or man-made disasters. The common denominator of all the diverse community service activities is the desire to fill peoples’ lives with ease and their hearts with joy.

One of the very first projects of As-Siraat Trust was the donation of a roti plant to an orphanage in Islamabad. Over the years, a large number of projects have been completed successfully. The projects specifically focus on the most vulnerable segments of society such as widows and orphans. Several projects have been undertaken to benefit the community at large such as renovation of masajids, installation of electric water coolers etc.

As-Siraat Trust remains committed to contributing physically and financially wherever and whenever the need arises.

Medicines for IDPS
Who are IDPs?
An internally displaced person (IDP) is someone who is forced to flee his or her home but who remains within his or her country’s borders. They are often referred to as refugees, although they do not fall within the current legal definition of a refugee.

Pakistani IDPs
Due to Pakistan’s army’s operation in North Waziristan, a great number of people had to move to relief camps. IDPs are mainly concentrated in the country’s north-western Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) (up to 1.5 million), but also live in Balochistan province and other parts of Pakistan (up to 275,000).

Problems faced by IDPs
They sacrificed their homes and health for the safety of other Pakistanis. The mental trauma of leaving one’s own home space and living in open areas is very comprehendible. They have been facing a list of problems including the big problem bad health.
